Important update: changes to SpectroCoin services in EU after 30 June 2026

After 30 June 2026, while Spectro Finance OÜ's authorisation under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) is pending, services on the SpectroCoin platform and app for affected users will be limited to exchanging the assets you already hold and withdrawing your funds. During this period, new registrations from the EU will be placed on a waiting list. We remain fully committed to obtaining our Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorisation under MiCA and will restore full services to our clients as soon as it is granted. This change applies only to users whose SpectroCoin services are provided by Spectro Finance OÜ — if your services on SpectroCoin are provided by another company, there will be no change to your service availability.

What is changing

Who this affects: This change applies only to users whose SpectroCoin services are provided by Spectro Finance OÜ. Several companies provide services on the SpectroCoin platform. If the company providing your services is not Spectro Finance OÜ, your service availability will not change. If you are unsure which company provides your services, please check your profile or contact our support team.

The EU-wide transitional period for crypto-asset service providers under MiCA ends on 30 June 2026. As our CASP authorisation under MiCA is still being processed, the services available to affected users will be temporarily adjusted after that date:

  • You can still exchange and withdraw. You will be able to exchange between the currencies you already hold in your account and withdraw your funds.
  • Other services will be temporarily unavailable — for example, new deposits of crypto-assets, buying crypto with newly added funds, and account top-ups.
  • New EEA customers join a waiting list. New customers in the EEA will not be able to complete a standard registration during this period and can instead join our waiting list (see below).

Why this is happening

MiCA introduces a single, harmonised authorisation regime for crypto-asset service providers across the EU and the EEA. Until 30 June 2026, providers that were already operating under national rules may continue to offer their services under transitional arrangements. After that date, a provider must hold a MiCA CASP authorisation to offer the full range of crypto-asset services to clients in the EEA.

Because our authorisation is still pending, we are limiting services in the meantime — in a way that keeps you in full control of the assets you already hold while we complete the process.

What this means for you

Your funds remain yours and accessible. You can continue to log in, exchange the assets you hold, and withdraw to an external wallet or account. We recommend reviewing your balances and making any arrangements that suit you. If you have questions about your specific account, our support team is happy to help.

New registrations from the EEA — waiting list

If you are a new customer in the EEA, you can register your interest and join our waiting list. We will contact you to complete your registration and unlock full services once our MiCA CASP authorisation is granted.

Our commitment

We are fully committed to obtaining our CASP authorisation under MiCA. As soon as it is granted, we will restore full services — including deposits, purchases, and all other features — to our clients. We will keep you informed of any developments by email and through this Help Centre.
